"Lisbet Cries" is a tribute to my sister Suzanne "Elisabeth," who from a baby has always felt the pain of the world a bit more intensely than other people. Volunteering internationally in developing communities during gaps in her college years, she found her calling as a schoolteacher and brought that passion back to North Carolina. The toddler who was constantly crying became an empathetic woman feeling others' pain. Maybe you have people like that in your life. -- Jesse James DeConto
