Sparkler logo liquor flask

from The Pinkerton Raid

Since the inception of the band, the Molotov Sparkler logo has been one of our enduring images. Instead of the firebomb the Pinkerton thugs threw at the James Ranch, killing Frank & Jesse’s little brother and costing their mother an arm, we put a harmless spin on the Molotov cocktail, with a playful sparkler instead of the gasoline-soaked rag.

We decided to put it on a whiskey flask because we have a tradition called “trunk whiskey.” A lot of times when you’re on tour, the bars will give you complimentary beers, but if you want a liquor drink, you have to pay for it. That gets expensive — sometimes your whole cut for a night will be less than the cost of the couple of drinks. Hence, “trunk whiskey.” We keep a bottle or a flask in the trunk and share a shot before a show so we don’t have to buy so many drinks inside. Get one for your cousin's dry wedding.
